Should I pickup Treylon Burks? Fantasy Waiver Wire Outlook

Treylon Burks - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Rookies, Draft Sleepers

Should I pickup Treylon Burks for fantasy football Week 10? Is Treylon Burks a good fantasy pick off the waiver wire? Read the fantasy football waivers outlook.

Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Treylon Burks is eligible to return from injured reserve for Week 10 against the Denver Broncos. Burks suffered a turf toe in the team’s Week 3 win over the Indianapolis Colts and has not played since.

The Titans are clearly desperate for offensive weapons after its wide receiver had zero catches in the 20-17 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

With rookies Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Drake London, and Jahan Dotson impressing this season, Burks could be the next guy to emerge on the fantasy football radar. Is he worth picking up ahead of Week 10?

Treylon Burks Season Recap

In Burks’ first four games in the NFL, he caught 10 of his 16 targets for 129 yards. Those are far from stellar numbers, but the Titans offense continues to be run-heavy, and Burks was injured before he had a chance to prove what he could do.

He was among the league leaders in targets per route run and was beginning to play more snaps each week.

That said, his early-season production isn’t all that important when viewing his fantasy outlook moving forward, but there were some positive signs.

Should I Pickup Treylon Burks?

Fantasy managers in a tough spot at wide receiver should surely consider taking a shot on Burks. If he’s not already stashed in someone’s IR spot, there will be little competition to pick him up and he can be easily dropped if the accusation proves to be useless in fantasy football.

Mike Vrabel has grown frustrated with the Titans wideouts, so there’s a real chance Burks steps in as the clear No. 1 option and gets manufactured touches. Among notable players on the waiver wire, Burks has the least amount of target competition with Robert Woods, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Chris Conley, and Cody Hollister being the top wide receivers on the roster.

Ultimately, as long as Burks is efficient, he can produce as at least a low-end WR3 in a run-heavy offense. He’s not a strong option if he’s active in Week 10 though, as the Broncos are one of the toughest defenses against fantasy wide receivers and Ryan Tannehill (ankle) could be limited even if he plays.
