The Rams started their third different running back of the season this past Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, opting to go with undrafted free agent Ronnie Rivers over Darrell Henderson.
Rivers out-touched Henderson 12-6, but ended up getting out-snapped by Henderson 24-21. In a three-way committee on Sunday, no Rams running back had anything close to fantasy value.
While Rivers led the Rams' backfield in touches, it doesn't necessarily mean he will be the starter. Even if he does, the Rams' backfield has been abysmal from a fantasy football standpoint.

Should I Pick Up Ronnie Rivers In Fantasy Football?
The short answer: no. Though Rivers led the team in touches, it was likely a fluke. Also, the Rams could welcome back not one, but two running backs in the coming weeks.
The Rams' disgruntled runner Cam Akers will likely rejoin the team (barring a last-minute trade on Tuesday) and be right back in the mix for touches. This adds yet another ball carrier for the Rams' offense.
The other running back being thrown into the mix is rookie Kyren Williams, who is now eligible to come off injured reserve. He has a fan in Rams head coach Sean McVay and was ticketed for a big Week 1 role before he was injured.
The backfield projects to be very messy in the coming weeks. With all the uncertainty, it's possible Williams is the one who ends up coming out of this as the Rams' lead back.
Rivers isn't worth an add unless it's in leagues with deep benches. The more sensible add would be Williams, as he has a much more likely path to starting duties for Los Angeles.
