34-year-old wide receiver Julio Jones has accomplished a lot in his 12-year NFL career. He's been named to five All-Pro teams and seven Pro Bowl rosters. He also has a season with over 1,800 receiving yards.
However, his last two seasons with the Tennessee Titans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been unimpressive. Still, the Philadelphia Eagles signed him on Tuesday ahead of Week 7, placing him back on the fantasy football radar.
Should you pick up Jones for fantasy football ahead of Week 7? Let's dive in.

Julio Jones 2022 Season Review
Coming off a 31-catch, 434-yard, one-touchdown season in Tennessee, the Buccaneers brought in Jones to catch passes from Tom Brady. However, he once again underwhelmed, catching just 24 passes for 299 yards and two touchdowns.
To be fair, he was playing behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. However, his impact on the passing offense was even weaker than expected. He never topped 70 yards in the regular season and racked up fewer than 35 yards in six of his 10 games played. Injury woes continued the last time we saw him.
His best regular season game was in Week 1 when he caught three passes for 69 yards.
Should I Pickup Julio Jones Off the Waiver Wire in Fantasy Football?
While it's a surprising and fun signing for the Eagles, Jones looked like a shell of his former self in 2021 and 2022. He posted just 55 receptions for 733 yards and three touchdowns over the two-year span. He could be worth adding in ultra-deep leagues, but there's a low chance he will make a big impact for the defending NFC Champions.
Even though the waiver wire is getting thin, you're likely better off rostering a rookie receiver who could break out soon or a handcuff running back who would be propelled into a starting role if an injury occurs in front of them
Stay away from Jones. Don't fall for it.
