Tennessee Titans quarterback Joshua Dobbs has bounced around the league during his NFL career. The former Tennessee Volunteer was a fourth-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2018 NFL Draft.
However, he never started a game for the Steelers. Furthermore, Dobbs had only 17 pass attempts during his time with Pittsburgh, failing to throw a touchdown. The veteran quarterback spent time with the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions this season before joining the Titans in Week 16.
With Ryan Tannehill undergoing ankle surgery, Tennessee needed a veteran quarterback behind Malik Willis. However, the rookie has struggled in his three starts this season, opening the door for Dobbs.

Should I Pickup Joshua Dobbs For Fantasy Football Week 18?
Last week head coach Mike Vrabel named Dobbs the starter against the Dallas Cowboys. While the Titans didn’t win the game, the veteran quarterback was solid. He had 232 passing yards, a touchdown, and 10.5 fantasy points despite making his first career start.
This week the Titans face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday night in a must-win game for both teams. The winner of this matchup will be the AFC South division champion and will make the playoffs.
While the team still has faith in Willis, the rookie quarterback has averaged only 78 passing yards per game in his three starts this year. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Vrabel named Dobbs the starter for the Week 18 matchup against the Jaguars.
Jacksonville has struggled defensively this season, giving up 17.9 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. However, does that mean fantasy players should add and start Doubs this week? The answer is no.
What Quarterback Should I Add Off The Waiver Wire?
Instead of adding Doubs this week, fantasy players should add and start Jarrett Stidham. The Las Vegas Raiders quarterback is available in over 99% of ESPN leagues.
Last week Stidham made his first start of the year, throwing three touchdowns. He and Patrick Mahomes are the only two quarterbacks with three or more passing touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers this season.
More importantly, Stidham faces the Kansas City Chiefs this week. They have surrendered two or more passing touchdowns in 75% of their games this year.
