New York Giants wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins has had a breakout 2022 season.
The 2021 sixth-round pick started his career with the Buffalo Bills. He played in one game as a rookie and two this season, totaling only four receptions on six targets. However, the Bills released the young receiver earlier this year.
With so many injuries at the wide receiver position, the Giants added Hodgins to their roster. Since he joined the team, the former Oregon State receiver has played well.

What Has Isaiah Hodgins Done This Season?
New York general manager Joe Schoen was in Buffalo when the team drafted Hodgins. Therefore, it’s no surprise that he signed the former Bills receiver. Since joining the Giants, the second-year player has become a critical part of the passing attack.
After Sterling Shepard and Wan’Dale Robinson suffered season-ending injuries, New York’s receiving core was arguably the worst in the NFL. However, Hodgins has stepped up as the No. 1 wide receiver for the Giants.
In the seven games he has played with New York, the former Oregon State receiver has averaged 9.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Furthermore, he has picked up his play lately.
Over the past four weeks, Hodgins has been the WR11, averaging 12.8 fantasy points per game. During that span, the young receiver averaged 5.3 receptions on 6.8 targets for 52 receiving yards per game, totaling three receiving touchdowns. He scored 12.9 or more fantasy points in three of those contests.
Should I Pickup Isaiah Hodgins For Fantasy Football Week 17?
Last week he had the best performance of his career against the Minnesota Vikings. Hodgins had eight receptions on 11 targets for 89 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 18.9 fantasy points.
The young receiver has played well this season. However, Hodgins has a difficult matchup in Week 17 against the Indianapolis Colts. The AFC South team has held wide receivers to only 24.3 fantasy points per game, the seventh-fewest over the first 15 weeks this year.
However, Indianapolis has struggled to slow down wide receivers lately. Over their past two matchups, the Colts have surrendered 36 receptions for 430 receiving yards and six touchdowns to wide receivers. Furthermore, wide receivers have averaged 49.4 fantasy points per game over those two matchups against the Colts.
Indianapolis faces the Los Angeles Chargers tonight. Depending on how they play against Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, fantasy players can feel confident picking up and starting Hodgins next week.
