Denver Broncos rookie tight end Greg Dulcich made his season debut on Monday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6. After an impressive showing, the fantasy football community is intrigued, especially since the fantasy tight end position is often a struggle with a shortage of consistent producers.
Everyone loves rookie upside, so there might be real competition to add him to fantasy rosters. The former UCLA Bruin was a third-round pick, so Denver obviously planned on using him right away.
Will Dulcich have enough season-long value to consider picking him up? Let's find out.

How Did Greg Dulcich Play in Week 6?
Dulcich caught two of his three targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in his NFL debut. The Broncos lost the game, but Dulcich looked explosive and was very much a part of the offensive game plan. Only Jerry Jeudy caught more passes and Dulcich scored the only touchdown for the Denver offense.
Only having two catches doesn't often put players on the fantasy radar, but Dulcich's usage was more important here. He ran a route on 81-percent of Russell Wilson's dropbacks, lined up at wide receiver for 61-percent of his routes, and didn't pass block a single time. That usage tells us he's going to be deployed as a real receiving threat, and not stuck inline blocking.
Should I Pick Up Greg Dulcich in Fantasy Football?
Dulcich should be rostered in all deep leagues. For fantasy managers needing help at tight end, he's worth picking up in shallower leagues if you can acquire him cheaply. It's important to remember this Denver offense has been arguably the worst in the NFL through six weeks, so his upside isn't as high as it might seem based on his Week 6 debut.
That said, tight end is a scarce position, so he's at least worth consideration. Don't spend a large amount of FAAB or use a top waiver claim on him, but he's a fine pickup if he falls in your lap. The difference in production from the mid-level tight ends is never notable, so save that precious FAAB or waiver claim for later down the line.
