Chicago Bears wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown has unexpectedly entered the fantasy radar after his Week 14 game against the Green Bay Packers. Justin Fields is a clear-cut dominant rushing quarterback, but he's starting to show real signs of growth in the passing game, so a Bears' pass-catcher could emerge as a fantasy-relevant flex option.
St. Brown's brother, Amon-Ra is a fantasy superstar in his second season, but can Equanimeous be a worthwhile waiver pickup in his fifth season as a pro?
We'll dive into his Week 14 performance and his waiver wire outlook.

What Did Equanimeous St. Brown Do In Week 14?
Against Green Bay, St. Brown caught three of his four targets for 85 yards in the loss. The highlight of his day was a 56-yard deep-ball reception. It was far from an earth-shattering performance, but fantasy managers are looking for anything to grab onto on the waiver wire, and someone has to catch passes from Fields with Darnell Mooney (ankle) out for the season on Injured Reserve.
Fields didn't throw a touchdown and threw two interceptions, but he completed 20 of his 25 passing attempts for 254 yards. Based on what we saw early in the year from the Bears' passing game, that is an improvement.
Should I Pickup Equanimeous St. Brown Off the Waiver Wire in Fantasy Football?
Unless you're playing in a super deep league, St. Brown remains far from the fantasy radar. Although he posted 85 receiving yards, over half of it came on one catch and he finished fourth in targets behind Cole Kmet, Chase Claypool, and David Montgomery. Sure, the Bears showed some promise in the passing game compared to their performances earlier this season, but it was still a well-below-average day in a pass-heavy league. Since the Bears are headed to a Week 14 bye, he wouldn't be able to be started anyway, so there's not much reason to consider him on waivers.
Kmet should be rostered in all leagues at such a scarce position and Claypool has some fantasy football appeal. There are simply not enough passing attempts in an already putrid passing attack for St. Brown to be a real fantasy factor.
The only league where he could be worth picking up is ultra-deep best ball leagues, but even then, it'd be surprising if he cracked lineups at all before the season ends. St. Brown has never surpassed 328 yards receiving in a season, so it's not a good idea to predict a breakout now.
