New Orleans Saints quarterback Andy Dalton entered the season as the backup behind Jameis Winston. However, the NFL doesn’t stand for National Football League. Instead, it stands for not for long.
Winston suffered a back injury early in the year. While he tried to play through it, the Saints shut him down after the Week 3 loss to the Carolina Panthers. With Winston dealing with the injury, New Orleans turned to Dalton.
The veteran quarterback has started the past seven games. Not only does the team have a 2-5 record with Dalton as the starter, but the former TCU Horned Frog has been wildly inconsistent for fantasy players.

Should I Pickup Andy Dalton For Fantasy Football Week 11?
Dalton is averaging 13.7 fantasy points per game this season. However, he has scored under 11 fantasy points in four of his past six games. Over the past two weeks, the veteran quarterback has only 384 passing yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions, with the Saints losing both games.
Yet, New Orleans named Dalton the starter for their Week 11 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
While the Rams have dealt with multiple issues this season, they have held opposing quarterbacks to only 14 fantasy points per game, the ninth-fewest in the NFL. Furthermore, they have held quarterbacks to only 11.8 fantasy points per game since Week 1, giving up under 14 fantasy points in all but two contests.
Fantasy players should avoid streaming Dalton this week and find a better option on the waiver wire.
Who Should I Add Off The Waiver Wire Instead Of Any Dalton?
Instead of streaming the former TCU star, fantasy players should add Jimmy Garoppolo off the waiver wire. The San Francisco 49ers quarterback is available in over 55% of ESPN leagues.
The former second-round pick has played well since taking over for Trey Lance. Garoppolo ranks in the top 10 in several categories this season, including passer rating, yards per attempt, and completion percentage.
More importantly, the veteran quarterback is averaging 15.5 fantasy points per game. Since taking over as the starter, Garoppolo has been the QB17. However, he has scored at least 15.9 fantasy points in five straight games.
Meanwhile, the veteran has an excellent matchup in Week 11. The Arizona Cardinals have surrendered 19 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, the sixth-most in the NFL. Furthermore, they have given up nine passing touchdowns over their past four games.
