How Has Taysom Hill Performed Recently?
Hill has had an unconventional career to date as a QB-turned-TE in the Saints offense, and his path to TE6 this year has been no different. Despite a paltry seven receptions on 11 targets this season, Hill has turned in 449 rush yards on 69 attempts.
Hill has turned his 76 touches this season into seven rushing/receiving touchdowns, second only to Travis Kelce’s 12 scores among TEs. Add his two touchdowns through the air this season and you have a jack-of-all-trades that can deliver no matter the game script.
What About Taysom Hill’s Matchup Against The Browns in Week 16?
The Cleveland Browns have proven to be tough on fantasy TEs this year, giving up an average of 7.3 fantasy points per game to the position. Hill is no ordinary TE, though, and with winter weather in Cleveland likely to severely affect the passing game, expect both teams to lean more heavily on the running game.
The Browns have given up the ninth most yards on the ground this year, including surrendering 198 rush yards to a Lamar Jackson-less Ravens team in Week 15.
Should I start Taysom Hill in Week 16 Fantasy Football?
Hill has logged 6 or more rushes in three of his last four games, resulting in three top-12 TE performances in that span. Expect him to top that mark again this week, with added snaps under center giving him more opportunity to score on the ground or through the air.
If you don’t have a top-5 option at the position, you can be confident starting Taysom Hill in Week 16.
