Should I Pickup And Start Hunter Henry In Week 14? Fantasy Football Outlook

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry has had a quiet 2022 season. The veteran is the TE25 for the year, averaging only 4.8 fantasy points per game.

However, the former Arkansas Razorback has played better recently. Over the past two weeks, he has averaged 38 receiving yards and 8.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, seeing five targets in both contests.

With six teams on a bye in Week 14, is Henry a suitable streaming option for fantasy players?

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for the 2025 playoffs:

Should I Pickup And Start Hunter Henry In Week 14?

The veteran tight end has produced for fantasy players when given the opportunity. Henry has averaged 9.4 fantasy points per game in the four contests he earned five or more targets this season. By comparison, the former second-round pick has averaged only 2.6 fantasy points per game in the other eight contests this year.

Meanwhile, Henry has an excellent matchup against the Arizona Cardinals this week. The Cardinals have surrendered 15.7 fantasy points per game to tight ends this season, the most in the league.

Furthermore, they have given up 11 or more fantasy points to tight ends in all but two contests this year. Arizona also has the worst red zone defense in the NFL.

The veteran tight end is available in over 70% of ESPN leagues.

What Other Waiver Wire Tight Ends Should I Consider?

Another solid streaming option this week is Chigoziem Okonkwo. The Tennessee Titan tight end is available in over 95% of ESPN leagues.

The rookie tight end has scored 27.3 fantasy points over the past five weeks on only 10 receptions. He has 223 receiving yards during that span, averaging 22.3 yards and 2.73 fantasy points per catch.

More importantly, Tennessee won’t have Treylon Burks against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week after he suffered a concussion last week against the Philadelphia Eagles. With the rookie receiver out of the lineup, Okonkwo should see an uptick in targets for this AFC South matchup.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville has given up 13.7 fantasy points per game to tight ends over their past five games, surrendering 10 or more fantasy points in 60% of the contests.

Fantasy players have two appealing streaming options this week in Henry and Okonkwo.
