What Has George Pickens Done in 2022?
After battling through a torn ACL during his final season at the University of Georgia, Pickens slipped to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft. The youngster was the talk of Steelers training camp.
Pickens got off to a slow start to the year with Mitch Trubisky at QB for Pittsburgh. However, he showed flashes of his talent when fellow rookie Kenny Pickett entered at QB against the Jets in Week 5. Pickens posted a career-high 102 receiving yards in Week 5. He has now totaled 338 receiving yards and a TD on 25 catches this season.
Should I Pickup George Pickens And Start Him In Week 10 Fantasy Football?
Pickens has already displayed an NFL-ready skill set and natural physical ability. The rookie is a true breakout candidate over the second half of the season.
With Chase Claypool traded to the Chicago Bears, Pickens and fellow wideout Diontae Johnson will now handle the vast majority of work in this Steelers receiving corps.
With Kenny Pickett set to be at the helm against the New Orleans Saints in Week 10, Pickens should be picked up and started in every type of fantasy league. You can consider him a high-upside WR3 this week against a Saints secondary that is injury-depleted and allowing a juicy 8.6 yards per target to opposing wide receivers this season.
