Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields was thrust into action on short notice during Sunday's season opener against the Atlanta Falcons.
After a solid performance that led to Pittsburgh getting the win, there's a chance that Fields could hold onto the starting job for one more week. As such, he's on the fantasy football radar as managers prepare for Week 2.

Justin Fields Week 2 Waiver Wire Outlook
Although veteran Russell Wilson was named the Steelers' starter coming out of camp, he suffered a calf injury and was deemed unable to play in Week 1.
Fields stepped up in his place, completing 17 of 23 passes (74 percent) for 156 yards. He also added 57 rushing yards on 14 attempts. Although the former first-round pick didn't score a touchdown, he also didn't log a turnover.
Most importantly, Fields led the Steelers to a Week 1 win while delivering top-18 fantasy production at the quarterback position.
With that said, it's unclear who will start for the Steelers in Week 2 against the Denver Broncos. If Wilson is still hurt, then the nod will go to Fields. However, if Wilson is healthy enough to play, the Steelers could consider plugging the veteran back into his role atop the depth chart, which would make Fields his backup.

🥉 DeShon Elliott - 86.0
🏅 Justin Fields - 75.9

Should I Pick Up Justin Fields In Week 2?
The decision to add Fields depends on risk and reward. There's no denying that the former Chicago Bear is one of the best running quarterbacks in the NFL. He evades sacks, scrambles for big gains, and can even finish with around 100 rushing yards against some of the weaker defenses.
This week, Fields faces a Denver Broncos defense that was just gashed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. That's a favorable matchup, but only if he plays.
That's where the risk comes in. If Wilson is healthy and wins back his starting job, Fields will return to the bench and become droppable in almost every redraft league.
Ultimately, we advise that you should attempt to pick up Fields off waivers in Week 2. Even if Wilson is healthy, Fields might have played well enough on Sunday to justify keeping him as the Steelers' starter. If this happens and Fields gets to face the uninspiring Broncos, he should rank as a solid fantasy QB1.
So much to love with this throw from Justin Fields...
The anticipation and arm strength to drive this on a line from past the far hash combined with the pinpoint accuracy to the sideline.
