Evan Engram was an under-the-radar addition for the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason after an up-and-down tenure with the New York Giants. He immediately slotted in as the TE1 for the Jags, who have been lacking in that position in recent years. (Yes, this includes Tim Tebow).
Through six games, Engram has caught 19-of-26 targets for 168 yards and no scores. That puts him as the TE17 in PPR scoring. While he's been average statistically speaking, those numbers aren't terrible for a tight end, as the position has really thinned out and become quite top-heavy over the years.
Christian Kirk, the team's number-one wideout, started the year off hot but has since cooled down. Past that, the Jags rely on a plethora of other receiving options such as Zay Jones, Marvin Jones Jr., and even Travis Etienne.

Should I Pick Up Evan Engram In Fantasy Football?
Engram has had a fairly inconsistent start to the 2022 season, but aside from Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews, who hasn't? It's been hard to come by a reliable tight end in fantasy football, so expectations should be lowered for those looking for a streaming option this week.
Engram is a solid option for those looking for a bye-week fill-in or even a long-term starter who is guaranteed to see the field. He ranks 11th among tight ends, playing 73.9% of snaps on offense. That is more than Kyle Pitts, Gerald Everett, and Darren Waller.
Furthermore, Engram's last two weeks have been encouraging, as he's caught at least five balls in two straight games.
You could do worse than Engram as a bye-week fill-in or an uninspiring starter at the position. If you don't have one of the top two tight ends, you're not going to see many points out of the position anyway. Not even Taysom Hill can be that consistent.
Engram's matchup isn't ideal this week as he is facing the New York Giants' stingy ninth-best pass defense. Regardless, the tight end's volume and playing time make him a solid streaming option this week.
