After a strong 2022 campaign for the Carolina Panthers, D'Onta Foreman signed a 1-year, $3 million contract with the Chicago Bears. Here, he was expected to compliment Khalil Herbert and continue to improve Chicago's rushing attack.
However, the emergence of Roschon Johnson led to Foreman being a healthy scratch in four of the first five games of the season. It wasn't until week 6 of the season that injuries sprung Foreman back into playing time.
Judging by his play, it is safe to say that Foreman is no longer likely to be a healthy scratch the rest of the season.

What Did D'Onta Foreman Do In Week 7?
In a game where Tyson Bagent got his first career start, D'Onta Foreman stole the show in a 30-12 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. On the ground, Foreman had 16 carries for 89 yards and 2 touchdowns. In the air, Foreman caught 3 passes for 31 yards and another score.

Foreman finished as the RB1 for the week and likely solidified himself as a contributor in this offense for the rest of the season. Whenever his number was called, he delivered. He most likely won't continue to contribute this level of production, it is clear that he has incredible play-making abilities.
Is D'Onta Foreman A Good Fantasy Football Pickup For Week 8?
For the immediate future, it seems evident that D'Onta Foreman will continue to see close to 50% of snaps each game. With Roschon Johnson most likely returning from concussion protocol this week, Foreman is likely to see reduced opportunities in the backfield.
However, the Bears can't afford to not play Foreman after how spectacular he was in week 7. So far this season, the team has ridden the hot hand, and Foreman seems hungry to stay in the spotlight of the running back room. Foreman is a good option on this week's waiver wire, but there are still many questions as to how his role will change when Johnson and eventually Khalil Herbert return. It is wise at this moment in time to restrict him from selling out for him.
