What Did D.J. Chark Do In Week 14?
After spending the first four years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, D.J. Chark signed a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions this offseason. Things haven't gone as smoothly as hoped in Detroit, as Chark has spent the bulk of 2022 battling injuries that required a stint on the Injured Reserve.
The explosive receiver returned from IR in Week 11 and his fantasy impact has been felt with each passing week. Chark tallied a season-high 98 receiving yards on five catches against Jacksonville in Week 13.
Most recently, he posted his best fantasy outing of the season in Detroit's Week 14 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Chark snagged six of seven targets for 94 receiving yards and a TD against the Vikes.
Should I Pick Up and Start D.J. Chark In Week 15?
For the first time in a long time, Chark appears to be fully healthy. Since coming off the IR in Week 11, he's seen increasing playing time and target counts, which has led to a spike in his production.
He's now posted 208 receiving yards and two TDs over Detroit's last three and Sunday's outing against the Minnesota Vikings was his best fantasy score of 2022.
Chark is suddenly reminding everyone what he's capable of in this surprisingly-explosive Lions offense. The LSU product has settled in nicely as the second option behind Amon-Ra St. Brown in Detroit's passing attack.
His recent production warrants fantasy consideration for GMs that need to make a playoff push. With a stretch schedule that includes the Jets, Panthers, and Bears; there's a decent chance that Chark stays hot. He can be considered a WR3 that's trending in the right direction.
