Carolina Panthers second-year running back Chuba Hubbard was thrust into a timeshare with running back D’Onta Foreman after the team traded Christian McCaffrey away earlier in the season.
Hubbard has been in and out of the lineup with injuries, but he strung together a strong performance against Seattle in Week 14.
Should Hubbard be picked up in fantasy football if available, or should he be left on waivers?

What Did Chuba Hubbard Do In Week 14?
Hubbard carried the ball 14 times for 74 yards and a touchdown while adding three catches for 25 yards through the air en route to a strong fantasy day in a Panthers’ victory.
The Panthers led for the entire game, leading to a plethora of rushing opportunities for the team’s trio of running backs. Hubbard was more efficient than D’Onta Foreman, running at 5.3 yards per carry, but received less opportunity than Foreman.
Some fantasy managers were unhappy with the backfield split:
What Has Chuba Hubbard Accomplished This Season?
Since returning from his injury, Hubbard had played second fiddle to Foreman in the Carolina backfield. Over the past two weeks, the split has become a lot more even.
The second-year running back showed his talents in college at Oklahoma State, and he is starting to do the same in Carolina with his opportunity share increasing to form a solid one-two punch in the backfield with D’Onta Foreman.
If Carolina continues to establish the run game, both running backs should see solid usage moving forward.
Should I Pick Up Chuba Hubbard?
If Chuba Hubbard is available on your waiver wire, he is worth taking a look at in 12+ team formats. With decent matchups against Pittsburgh and Detroit in the next two weeks, both he and Foreman should merit lineup consideration as long as Carolina maintains its commitment to the run game.
Foreman appears to be the favored option in the red zone, although Hubbard catches more passes.
Hubbard is by no means a must-add given that he splits backfield work in an up-and-down offense, but he is a guy that will be considered a borderline flex over the next two weeks and can be added if your team is in dire need of running back help.
