What Has D.J. Chark Done This Season?
After spending the first four years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, D.J. Chark signed a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions this offseason. Things haven't gone as smoothly as hoped in Detroit, as Chark has spent the bulk of 2022 battling injuries that required a stint on the Injured Reserve.
The explosive receiver returned from IR in Week 11 and has played well in recent weeks. Chark tallied a season-high 98 receiving yards on five catches last week against Jacksonville.
Should I Pick Up and Start D.J. Chark In Week 14?
For the first time in a long time, Chark appears to be fully healthy. Since coming off the IR in Week 11, he's seen increasing playing time and target counts.
He's now posted 114 receiving yards and a TD over Detroit's last two and last week's performance against his former team was an encouraging sign.
Despite Chark's recent bump in production, he's still a distant second behind Amon-Ra St. Brown in the Detroit receiving hierarchy. He'll need to be highly efficient to produce impactful fantasy results, but he draws an enticing matchup against an ailing Minnesota Vikings secondary in Week 14. The Vikes have allowed the most passing yards per game in the NFL this season.
He should be considered a WR4/FLEX option this week and is a nice option for fantasy managers dealing with byes on this slate.
