Aaron Nesmith Fantasy Basketball Outlook

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith is coming off a strong game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday, as he scored 26 points on 10-for-16 shooting. He also added nine rebounds in the contest.

It was a fairly big increase in Nesmith's production from the team's first game when he was 2-for-5 with seven points, five rebounds, one assist, and one block.

Which game is more likely to be the version of Nesmith that we see going forward? I think it's somewhere in the middle. While Nesmith won't score 26 points per night, he's an efficient shooter who can drain threes. I expect him to score closer to the lower teens on average.

Is Aaron Nesmith A Good Fantasy Basketball Pickup?

While I don't think we see Nesmith produce like he did last game, I do think he can deliver numbers that are a slight improvement on his numbers from last season, when he averaged 10.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.6 threes per game.

Fantasy managers in shallower leagues can leave Nesmith on the waiver wire for now, but he's worth adding in 14-team leagues, especially if your roster needs help behind the arc. Nesmith was 5-for-9 from three last game out and should see plenty of volume from behind the arc going forward.
