Should I Drop Zamir White in Fantasy Football?
The big reason why Zamir White would have fantasy upside in 2024 was about volume. With Josh Jacobs gone to Green Bay, White was expected to see the bulk of the carries.
In Week 1, he carried the ball 13 times, finishing with 44 yards, and added two receptions for two yards. The production wasn't there, but the volume was solid.
In Week 2, White had just nine carries, finishing with 24 rushing yards. He also added three receptions for 14 yards.
Still, the lack of volume didn't correspond to an increase in touches for other players. Mattison had four carries. Ameer Abdullah had two. White is still the lead back.
#Raiders HC Antonio Pierce on Zamir White:
“I’m gonna keep pumping him up. Our goal is to get 20+ touches with him. That was the goal this week, didn’t happen. That’s gonna be the goal this week and every week while he’s the starting running back and I’m here.”

But the game script is going to make that lead back role very, very frustrating for fantasy managers. I wouldn't drop him yet, but he's likely only worth starting if you have injury issues and White has a good matchup. He's the most frustrating kind of RB to roster.
Who Should I Pickup in Week 3 Fantasy Football?
Whether you drop White or not, one thing is certain: don't add any other Raiders running backs. It's not a rough situation there in fantasy.
If you do need a running back off the waiver wire this week, look at players like Carson Steele from Vegas's division rival Kansas City Chiefs, who is rostered in just 4% of leagues and should see more usage with Isiah Pacheco hurt.
