Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss was a popular mid-round fantasy football draft pick this year. The veteran is the RB32 for the season, averaging 8.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
Moss start the year playing well, averaging 13.1 fantasy points per game over the first four weeks. He scored 13.1 or more in three of those contests.
However, the veteran has seen his role on offense disappear lately. Is it time to drop Moss? Let’s dive into it.

Should I Drop Zack Moss?
The veteran running back averaged 12 rushing attempts per game over the first month, totaling 12 or more in all but one contest. By comparison, Moss has averaged 6.5 rushing attempts per game over the past four weeks, totaling nine or fewer in every matchup.
Chase Brown has taken over as the lead running back. More importantly, Moss has struggled with his limited rushing attempts, totaling more than four yards on only four of his past 28 attempts. Fantasy players in 12-team or smaller leagues can drop the veteran running back.
Zack Moss rush yards gained on 26 carries over the last four weeks from least to most:
-4, -1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1 (fumble), 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 3 (fumble), 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 7, 7, 8

Who Can I Add Off The Waiver Wire?
Unfortunately, the waiver wire lacks a clear-cut option at the running back position this week. However, Roschon Johnson is the top option. The former Texas star is the RB45 for the year, averaging seven half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has four rushing touchdowns in his past four games, including one last week against the Washington Commanders.

Johnson is rostered in only 14% of Yahoo leagues, making him widely available for fantasy players. However, he is a touchdown-or-bust type running back. The second-year running back has only seven rushing attempts in his past two games, including two on Sunday against Washington.
Over 56% of Johnson’s fantasy points this season have come from finding the end zone. Fantasy players shouldn’t be too aggressive in adding the second-year running back off the waiver wire.
