Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence had massive expectations entering the NFL as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. While he has played well at times, the former Clemson star has severely regressed over the past year.
Lawrence was the QB12, averaging 16.4 fantasy points per game last season. By comparison, he is the QB26, averaging 11.3 fantasy points per game over the first three weeks.
While some blame head coach Doug Pederson for the quarterback’s struggles, fantasy players couldn’t care less who is at fault. Should fantasy players drop Lawrence? Let’s dive into it.

Should I Drop Trevor Lawrence?
The former Clemson star has been awful, averaging 11.3 fantasy points per game. Lawrence has scored 13.3 or fewer in every game, including 11.3 or less twice. Last week, the former No. 1 NFL Draft pick had 178 passing yards, one touchdown, one interception, and 9.4 fantasy points in a blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Many have pointed out that Lawrence has similar career production to Daniel Jones. Yet, he was considered a solid QB2 option for fantasy players entering the season. Unfortunately, it’s time to cut the veteran from your fantasy team in one-quarterback leagues. Meanwhile, fantasy players should consider benching Lawrence in superflex leagues if they have another starting quarterback on the roster.

Who Can I Add Off The Waiver Wire?
Fantasy players should explore the trade market for another quarterback. Anthony Richardson is an excellent buy-low candidate after Sunday’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, my favorite streaming quarterback option for Week 4 is Daniel Jones.
The veteran quarterback is rostered in only 7% of Yahoo leagues. He has thrown two touchdowns and scored 18.3 or more fantasy points in back-to-back games. Jones faces a Dallas Cowboys defense on Thursday night that has struggled against the pass over the past two weeks.
