In 2023, Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert led the NFL with 18 rushing touchdowns. There was a lot of excitement about how he would follow that up in 2024.
But Mostert has now missed three games in a row with a chest injury. As he nears his return, should he return to your fantasy roster?
Let’s take a closer look at the move and assess what you should potentially be doing if Mostert is on your fantasy squad.

Should I Drop Raheem Mostert in Fantasy Football?
In Week 1, Mostert had six carries for nine yards and two catches for 10 yards. We haven't seen him yet, though he logged some practices this week and should be expected back soon.
With Mostert sidelined, it appears that De'Von Achane has taken over the Dolphins' backfield. He has 53 carries this season, with the next-closest player being Jaylen Wright at 16 carries.

It certainly looks like Achane will maintain the No. 1 role here, but it's a little too early to drop Mostert from your fantasy roster. We're talking about the guy who led the league in rushing scores last season.
A healthy Mostert could certainly go back to being a goal-line vulture. He may not have the same upside with QB Tua Tagovailoa sidelined since the offense isn't moving the ball as well to put Mostert is as many positions to score, but we still want to see at least a game of a healthy Mostert to figure out his usage patterns.

One option to look at, if he's available in your league, is Bucky Irving, who appears to be taking a major chunk of Rachaad White's usage in Tampa. Irving has had a strong start to the 2024 season and should continue to trend up.
Some other names to monitor include Braelon Allen, Chase Brown, Tank Bigsby, and Trey Sermon, who can all help your fantasy lineup in different ways.
