Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert was a fantasy football superstar in 2023. The veteran running back had over 20 touchdowns last season, leading the NFL in rushing scores.
However, he has severely regressed this year. Mostert has only two rushing touchdowns and zero receiving scores in five games.
Is it time for fantasy players to drop Mostert? Let’s dive into it.

Should I Drop Raheem Mostert?
The veteran is the RB49 for the season, averaging eight half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Mostert has missed time with an injury, only playing in 55.6% of the contests. More importantly, he has struggled to hold onto the ball.
Mostert scored 7.8 fantasy points in Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills. However, he fumbled in the third quarter, earning only one more touch in the game after losing the football, seeing four fewer than Jaylen Wright.

Fantasy players can drop Mostert if they need to make a move off the waiver wire this week. The veteran has limited fantasy value unless De'Von Achane misses time with an injury.
Who Can I Add Off The Waiver Wire?
Unfortunately, the waiver wire has limited options at the running back position. However, Roschon Johnson is a solid option. The second-year running back is rostered in 13% of Yahoo leagues.
The former Texas star has averaged 5.8 rushing attempts for 18 yards and 7.6 fantasy points per game over the past seven weeks. However, Johnson has had a role at the goal line, totaling four rushing touchdowns over his past five contests.

More importantly, the second-year pro is the Chicago Bears’ clear-cut No. 2 running back behind D'Andre Swift after trading away Khalil Herbert earlier today. He should continue to see meaningful touches at the goal line. Furthermore, Johnson has league-winning upside if Swift misses time with an injury.
