Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston proved yet again that he has bricks for hands. Or maybe something resembling them. He completed a nice cardio workout in Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens, catching precisely zero of his five targets for zero yards on Monday.
He exhibited the same problem he showed last season and in offseason training camp. He can't catch the football. He's had awful drop problems his whole career in the NFL, which aren't a surprise, considering he was a serial body-catcher in college.
So should you drop Johnston in fantasy football?

Should I Drop Quentin Johnston in Fantasy Football?
Yes. He's simply not a good receiver. He's a great athlete, but he's now 23 years old and still can't hang on to passes. He's in an incredible situation for a WR -- he profits off busted coverages constantly, has an elite quarterback, and has an offensive coordinator that's willing to force the ball to him.

The problem isn't that he leads the league in drops, it's that he puts incredibly easily catchable passes on the ground. It's safe to assume that the problem won't be fixed anytime soon. There isn't any excuse to not catch a pass that hits him directly in the hands in stride.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert can't throw that any better. WR Ladd McConkey is the No. 1 receiver for the team, and that's not about to change. He can actually catch footballs as well.
Who Should I Pickup in Week 13 Fantasy Football?
There isn't much available on waivers ahead of Week 13 now. But Carolina Panthers wideout Adam Thielen (hamstring) is a solid option. He looked good in his return from a hamstring injury, catching three of his four targets for 57 yards. He may see a bigger workload when he's fully recovered -- it's possible he was still dealing with some lingering pain or soreness.
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling could be emerging as his team's de-facto WR1 in the absences of wideouts Rashid Shaheed (knee) and Chris Olave (concussion). He's worth stashing on the bench, at least. New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak seems to be a wizard.
