Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields has been a hit-or-miss NFL passer. However, the former Ohio State star has been an excellent quarterback for fantasy football players.
Fields is the QB17 for the year despite not playing the past two weeks, averaging 18.9 fantasy points per game. He has scored at least 18.4 in three of his final four starts, including 23.7 or more twice.
Unfortunately, head coach Mike Tomlin benched Fields for Russell Wilson after the Week 6 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Is it time for fantasy players to drop Fields, or will he get the starting role back at some point this season?

Should I Drop Justin Fields?
Fantasy players in single-quarterback leagues can drop Fields. Wilson has played well in his first two starts, averaging 1.5 passing touchdowns and 19.3 fantasy points per game. The veteran has made several impressive throws downfield.

However, fantasy players in superflex leagues should hold onto Fields for a few weeks to see if Wilson gets benched. Meanwhile, dynasty fantasy players in superflex leagues should hold onto the former Ohio State. He could earn a starting role somewhere else in 2025.
Who Can I Add Off The Waiver Wire?
The top waiver wire target at quarterback this week is Bo Nix. He is rostered in only 25% of Yahoo leagues. The rookie quarterback is the QB9 for the year, averaging 16.6 fantasy points per game.
Last week, he had 284 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers, totaling 29.8 fantasy points, setting career highs in every category. Furthermore, Nix has been the best rookie quarterback this month, ranking ahead of Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels in several metrics.
