San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings is the WR11 for the year, averaging 13.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He had an outstanding Week 3 performance, totaling 11 receptions on 12 targets for 175 receiving yards, three touchdowns, and 41 fantasy points against the Los Angeles Rams.
However, the veteran has averaged only 4.8 targets and 6.4 fantasy points per game in the other four games this season. While Jennings will continue to have a role on offense, the 49ers’ receiving core is finally healthy and up to speed.
Is it time for fantasy players to drop the veteran wide receiver? Let’s dive into it.

Should I Drop Jauan Jennings?
Jennings was outstanding in the Week 3 matchup with Deebo Samuel Sr. and George Kittle out with injuries. However, he has scored fewer than nine fantasy points in three of the other four contests this year. Last week, the veteran had his worst performance of the season, totaling one reception on four targets for 13 receiving yards and 1.8 fantasy points.
Fantasy players can drop Jennings this week. Brandon Aiyuk finally broke out of his slump in Week 5, totaling eight receptions on 12 targets for 147 receiving yards and 18.7 fantasy points, all season-highs. While he was a solid waiver wire addition a few weeks ago, it’s time to drop the veteran wide receiver.

Who Can I Add Off The Waiver Wire?
Jalen Tolbert might be the top waiver wire target at the wide receiver position this week. The third-year pro is the WR31 for the season, averaging 9.3 fantasy points per game. His role on offense will expand, with Brandin Cooks missing at least four games due to a knee injury.
Last week, he had seven receptions on 10 targets for 87 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 18.2 fantasy points against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tolbert outscored CeeDee Lamb 18.2 to 8.9 in Week 5. While that won’t happen every week, fantasy players can trust the third-year pro as a flex option until Cooks returns.
