Should I Drop Jake Ferguson in Fantasy Football?

Fantasy managers may be rethinking Ferguson's value as a starter. With Prescott sidelined for the season, the 25-year-old's already limited production has taken a further hit.

Ferguson caught four passes for 24 yards in Dallas' Week 10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Remarkably, that modest total was the highest receiving yardage for any Cowboys player. This weak performance reflects the instability at quarterback, as Cooper Rush struggled significantly in Prescott's place.

The Wisconsin product's fantasy value has been inconsistent, partly due to his lack of touchdowns. In his previous games with Prescott, Ferguson saw a steady volume of 7.4 targets and 5.4 receptions per game. However, with Rush under center, the tight end's opportunities will likely diminish further.

Although he obtained five targets in Week 10, his ceiling is limited, with Rush leading the offense. Ferguson currently ranks as TE15 in PPR leagues, averaging only 9.47 fantasy points per game. It is safe to drop the third-year player for a tight end in a more favorable situation.

Who Should I Pickup in Week 11 Fantasy Football?

If you need a replacement for Ferguson, there are a few waiver-wire tight ends to consider. Tucker Kraft of the Green Bay Packers could be available, and he currently sits at TE7 in PPR.

In Week 9 against the Detroit Lions, Kraft caught four of his six targets for 34 yards, tying for second on the team in targets. He is getting more involved in the offense and could be a reliable low-end TE1.

Another option is Hunter Henry from the New England Patriots. Henry is a boom-or-bust choice, and he shares opportunities with Austin Hooper. Currently ranked as TE9, Henry's production can fluctuate, so be prepared to play him based on matchups.

Lastly, keep an eye on Dallas Goedert of the Philadelphia Eagles. Goedert returned from injury in Week 10 and hauled in two passes for 25 yards and a score.

Although he was listed as a non-participant in Monday's estimated practice report, Goedert is expected to play Thursday night. If available, the Eagle could be a solid addition to your roster. Grant Calcaterra has shown potential as a fill-in if Goedert cannot play.
