Many expected Gus Edwards would be the No. 1 running back for the Chargers this season, or that he and J.K. Dobbins would at least split carries.
But after touching the ball just three times in Week 3, is Edwards still in the plans for L.A.?
Should fantasy managers drop Gus Edwards ahead of Week 4?

Should I Drop Gus Edwards in Fantasy Football?
After having just three carries for nine yards in Week 3 against the Steelers, it looks like Edwards is on the outs right now. Dobbins had 15 carries and three targets in the game, dominating the team's backfield touches.
Dobbins played 65% of the team's touches in that game, while Edwards played just 35%. That was his lowest snap rate of the 2024 NFL season.
Personally, I think it's too early to drop Edwards. He had double-digit touches in the first two games of the season, including 18 carries against the Panthers in Week 2.
This one-week drop in usage means Edwards should be on your bench in Week 4, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's time to send him back to the waiver wire just yet.
RBs I have zero hesitation cutting after Week 3

With that said, if you're in a crunch and need a player off the wire to help you immediately, you probably won't regret dropping Edwards. I'd just personally hold on a bit longer.
Who Should I Pickup in Week 4 Fantasy Football?
Looking for help at running back this week? Check out Phil Clark's Week 4 running back waiver wire pickups list for some ideas.
Among the options, Braelon Allen is a strong option to add after another strong showing this week. Allen had 11 carries for 55 yards in the win over the Patriots and three catches for 13 yards. Despite splitting time with Breece Hall, Allen has made a strong impact.
Another player to look at is Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving, who hasn't had more than nine carries in a game yet. He's done well with those carries, though, including rushing for 70 yards and also adding three catches for 14 yards against Denver this week. He's a high-upside add on the waiver wire.
