With successful fantasy managers battling it out in their league's playoffs, every Week 16 decision is of the utmost importance.
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis has demonstrated his fantasy upside on a few occasions this year, but the third-year wideout has failed to find a true level of consistency in his first sesaon as a full-time starter.
With the clock ticking down on the fantasy football playoffs, is it time to drop Davis from fantasy rosters?

What Has Gabe Davis Done This Season?
Third-year Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis was a popular breakout candidate ahead of 2022 fantasy drafts. The 23-year-old has been a full-time starter in Buffalo's high-octane offense this season and has put forth some strong fantasy outings, including a 171-yard, 2-TD performance in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
However, Davis has not been able to produce terrific numbers on a consistent basis. He has failed to top 75 receiving yards in a game since a 93-yard effort in Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings. Davis currently stands as the overall fantasy WR21 in standard leagues.
Can I Drop Gabe Davis in Fantasy Football?
After a monster outing in last year's NFL postseason, many fantasy managers were eager to draft Gabe Davis ahead of 2022. While Davis has indeed moved into a full-time role for the Bills, his production has been inconsistent.
Despite playing in a high-powered offense with Josh Allen at quarterback, Davis has disappeared for long stretches and struggled with drops. He's reeled in just 42 of 77 targets this year.
Fantasy managers with Davis in their starting lineups are likely reaching high frustration levels, as he's failed to top 75 receiving yards in any of Buffalo's last five games. The boom-or-bust WR has slowly devolved into a bust-only option down the stretch.
Consistency concerns aside, Davis does still possess blowup potential. That should especially be the case in a Week 16 matchup against the Chicago Bears, a squad that's ranked 30th in the NFL in Pass Defense DVOA.
Fantasy managers that believe they are underdogs in their playoff matchup this week might want to stick with the risky Davis in this matchup. Those GMs that are looking for a dependable point-scoring floor - especially in PPR formats - can safely look to other options.
