Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson had a strong finish to his 2023 fantasy season, recording four straight games with a touchdown catch. In the offseason, he was reportedly cemented as the WR3 and impressed in training camp. However, through three games, his fantasy production has fallen flat.
What happened? It was strange for fantasy managers that had picked up Robinson after star WRs Puka Nacua and later Cooper Kupp went down with injuries. Most people figured at least one of the Rams WRs would do well. In actuality, none of them were particularly relevant, especially not Robinson.
So is Demarcus Robinson safe to cut? Should fantasy managers drop him in favor of another player?

Should I Drop Demarcus Robinson in Fantasy Football?
It's fine to drop him. The Rams passing attack spread the ball around heavily in Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers. While the 9ers defense could have had something to do with it, it's not a good sign. No Rams player had more than four receptions.

It didn't help that QB Matthew Stafford only completed 16 passes. That's not a recipe for success for any receiver. But if Robinson were significantly better than the other WRs on the roster, you'd think he'd have dominated targets at least.
Then again, Demarcus Robinson is 30 years old and has never been more than a WR3/WR4 player in his career. He's on the tail end, and the Rams clearly believed, Nacua and Kupp could carry the offense. Week 3's game plan showed no confidence in any of the receivers to emerge in the Rams' game plan.
Who Should I Pickup in Week 4 Fantasy Football?
Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson faces the Washington Commanders in Week 4. They're horrible. Wilson is... decent? It's hard to tell if he's made a big leap this year, but he's probably worth a pickup. The Commanders are more than capable of allowing two opposing receivers to be fantasy-relevant.
If New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams is available in your league, he's worth an add. It's only a matter of time before he gets a significant role in the Jets' offense. He was close to adding a touchdown to his production in Week 4, and his usage has gone up significantly since Week 1. He also has Rodgers throwing to him.
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette has a fantastic blend of size and speed, and with fellow Panthers WR Adam Thielen out for at least a few games and the Red Rifle riding again, he's more worth space on your roster than Robinson.
Cowboys wide receiver Jalen Tolbert has impressed in recent weeks and he'll face the New York Giants leaky secondary on Thursday evening. He's worth a speculative add.
