A frustrating situation at quarterback this season has been Daniel Jones of the New York Giants and his up-and-down performances.
After a roller-coaster start, his recent struggles have raised serious questions about his dependability as a starting quarterback.
As we head into Week 9, let's evaluate whether it is time to drop Jones and consider potential replacements that could help your fantasy team.

Should I Drop Daniel Jones in Fantasy Football?
In the Week 8 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jones completed 24-of-38 pass attempts for 264 yards. He tossed an interception and failed to score a touchdown.
His struggles have significantly impacted the fantasy production of his wide receivers, including Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson. Despite head coach Brian Daboll's assurance that the 27-year-old will remain the starter against the Washington Commanders, his recent performances suggest that his fantasy value is rapidly declining.
The former first-rounder showed some promise earlier this season but has recently slipped back into poor form. Sacked four times against the Pittsburgh Steelers and losing a fumble, Jones' play was marked by sloppiness and indecision.

With the Giants offense struggling to find a rhythm, it is hard to envision a scenario where Danny Dimes turns things around quickly.
Given his uneven play, it is reasonable to drop Jones, especially in one-QB leagues. It comes highly recommended. More productive options are available on the waiver wire that can deliver better fantasy output.
Moving on from Jones is a wise decision if you need to create roster space for a more dependable quarterback.
Who Should I Pickup in Week 9 Fantasy Football?
If you have decided to part ways with the Giants QB, several quarterbacks are worth considering for your fantasy team.
One option is Jameis Winston of the Cleveland Browns, who stepped in for Deshaun Watson and looked sharp against the Baltimore Ravens. He threw for 334 yards and three scores in Week 8. The Cleveland Browns will face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9, and Winston could continue to build on that performance.
Another selection is Bo Nix of the Denver Broncos. He has been gaining traction and recently threw three touchdowns while adding another on the ground. His dual-threat capability makes him an attractive choice, especially if you want more versatility in your QB spot.

You might also consider Joe Flacco as he takes the helm for the Indianapolis Colts versus the Minnesota Vikings after the team decided to bench Anthony Richardson. While Flacco is a more conservative choice, he can still provide a decent floor in promising matchups.
These quarterbacks should deliver better fantasy production than the New York Giants quarterback, making them suitable pickups as you head into Week 9. With the proper adjustments to your roster, you can improve your chances of success without Danny Dimes holding you back.
