Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet is the TE10 for the year, averaging eight half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The veteran is one of the better tight ends in the NFL.
Unfortunately, his fantasy production is wildly inconsistent. The Bears have multiple weapons in the passing game and a quarterback who appears to have hit the rookie wall.
Should fantasy players drop Kmet, or is the former Notre Dame tight end worth holding onto for another week?

Should I Drop Cole Kmet?
Everyone loves it when Kmet gets in the end zone. He has three receiving touchdowns this season, reaching that total in two games. The veteran scored 20.7 or more fantasy points in both contests, including a few weeks ago against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
However, Kmet has severely struggled in the other six games this year. He has averaged 2.3 targets and 3.6 fantasy points per game in those six matchups, totaling 4.9 or fewer fantasy points in all but one game. More importantly, the former Notre Dame star has seen one target since the team’s bye week, including zero in Week 9.

Fantasy players might want to give Kmet another shot this week against the New England Patriots. They have surrendered six receptions for 69.5 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 16 fantasy points per game to tight ends over the past two weeks, giving up 14.6 or more in both contests.
Who Can I Add Off The Waiver Wire?
However, fantasy players should drop Kmet for Mike Gesicki this week if the Cincinnati Bengals are without Tee Higgins for the third consecutive game. The veteran tight end has averaged six receptions on seven targets for 86.5 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 16.7 fantasy points per game over the past two weeks. Furthermore, he was the TE1 in Week 9, totaling two receiving touchdowns, 100 yards, and 24.5 fantasy points in the win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
