Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams had massive expectations heading into his rookie season. Fantasy football players believed that the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft could be a low-end QB1 as a rookie.
Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened. Williams is the QB24 over the first four weeks, averaging 10.8 fantasy points per game, scoring 11.5 or fewer in all but one contest.
The former USC star has averaged fewer fantasy points per game than Malik Willis (12.8) and Bo Nix (11.4). Is it time for fantasy players to drop him?

Should I Drop Caleb Williams?
Fantasy players in superflex or deeper leagues should hold onto Williams. He has four appealing matchups, facing the Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Washington Commanders, and Arizona Cardinals over the next five weeks. However, Williams’ has his bye in Week 7.
Yet, fantasy players in single-quarterback leagues can drop the rookie passer. He has made several impressive throws over the first month. Unfortunately, Williams just isn’t putting up fantasy numbers.

Who Can I Add Off The Waiver Wire?
There are a few appealing options in single-quarterback leagues this week. However, Justin Fields is at the top of the list. The former Ohio State star is the QB6, averaging 18.4 fantasy points per game. Yet, he is rostered in only 32% of Yahoo leagues.
Last week, Fields completed 64.7% of his pass attempts for 312 yards and a touchdown. More importantly, the veteran finally had a massive performance with his legs, totaling 10 rushing attempts for 55 yards and two touchdowns, totaling 32 fantasy points against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fields has another appealing matchup this week against the Dallas Cowboys. They have given up 21.5 or more fantasy points in two of their past three games. Furthermore, the Cowboys will be without two of their top defensive players. Micah Parsons (ankle) and Demarcus Lawrence (foot) aren’t expected to play Sunday night.
