Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has been benched for Joe Flacco. The second-year player out of Florida struggled with accuracy and is now behind Flacco on the depth chart.
But does that mean fantasy managers need to abandon Richardson and send him to the waiver wire, or is he someone worth keeping?
Should fantasy managers drop Richardson ahead of Week 10? Let's dive in and find out!

Should I Drop Anthony Richardson in Fantasy Football?
There is really no reason to hold on to Anthony Richardson in redraft leagues. He wasn't benched because of injury; he was benched because the Colts thought that Joe Flacco gave the team a better chance to win.
The Anthony Richardson benching is laughably bad. You knew that he was a project and you’re giving up 10 games in.
He isn’t a lock to be Josh Allen obviously but imagine if the Bills benched Allen after 10 games. Turning a hypothetical say 30% chance of a franchise QB into a 0%…

Unless head coach Shane Steichen wants to lose the locker room, the team can't make another change in 2024. It has to ride things out with Flacco and hope for a playoff berth to reward Steichen's decision.
That means that fantasy managers can safely send Richardson back to the waiver wire.
Who Should I Pickup in Week 10 Fantasy Football?
So you're dropping Richardson. Now what?
One player you could grab is Bo Nix. The rookie has been fairly up and down this season and is coming off a disappointing effort against the Ravens, but he's shown some really good highs, like when he threw three touchdowns two weeks ago.

In addition to Nix, options include Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert, and Russell Wilson, all of whom could help you weather the Nico Collins absence, which has made it tough to trust C.J. Stroud in fantasy lineups.
