A.J. Dillon is in his fourth season with the Green Bay Packers. The 2020 second-round pick has gone over 900 scrimmage yards in the past two seasons.
But Dillon's numbers are down in 2023. Is that a sign that he is no longer an asset in fantasy football leagues?
Many fantasy managers have A.J. Dillon on their roster right now. Should Dillon be dropped ahead of Week 5? Read on to see if Dillon should return to your waiver wire.

Is A.J. Dillon A Good Fantasy Football Running Back?
A.J. Dillon has double-digit carries in three of the four games so far, but there's a catch. Two of those games saw the Packers be without starting running back Aaron Jones. The other saw Jones exit early.
In Week 1, Dillon had 13 carries, but six of those came after Jones exited the game. With Jones back this past week, Dillon saw a season-low five carries, finishing with 11 yards. It was the second time this season he's had under 20 yards on the ground.
Can I Drop A.J. Dillon in Fantasy Football?
It was clear in Week 4 that with a healthy Aaron Jones on the field, there's not really much of a role for A.J. Dillon. But does that mean he can be dropped in fantasy football leagues?
It really depends on the makeup of your fantasy roster. Dillon can't be trusted in lineups with Jones on the field, so if you're holding him at this point it should only be as insurance for a Jones injury.
If you aren't desperate enough at running back to hold onto someone whose value is dependent on injury, then you can cut A.J. Dillon.
Should I Start A.J. Dillon in Week 5?
If A.J. Dillon remains on your fantasy roster, he should stay on your bench in Week 5 because he won't have a sizable role.
With Aaron Jones healthy this week, Dillon had just five carries and one target. That happened despite playing 18 more snaps than Jones. Jones will be an extra week removed from his injury this week, which could mean even fewer snaps and touches for Dillon.
The Packers face the Raiders this weekend, who allow the 12th-most fantasy points per game to the running back position. If, for some reason, Jones is re-injured this week, then Dillon might have some value. But that's an unlikely situation.
