There's no doubt that fantasy managers will have to make a handful of tough decisions on draft day. Sometimes those decisions haunt you all season long.
If you wait for a quarterback in fantasy drafts this season, this article is for you. Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and quarterback Dak Prescott are two solid options in the middle rounds. Both are going just a couple of picks apart this season.
Should you draft Tagovailoa or Prescott this year? Let's take a look at this ADP duel.

Should I Draft Tua Tagovailoa?
Tagovailoa was on track for a top-10 quarterback finish in 2023 -- if not for two concussions. Despite missing four games, the former Alabama star still finished as the QB15 while averaging 18.3 fantasy points per game.
When looking back at Tagovailoa's 2022 season, though, he wasn't all that consistent. He had just four top-10 quarterback finishes and only scored above 20 fantasy points four times. The former 2020 first-round pick also had eight games under 16 fantasy points.

Tagovailoa dealt with multiple concussions last season, and there's surely an injury risk in drafting him this year. But assuming he stays healthy, he's a solid QB1 option in 2023. Having Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle gives him the potential to go for 30-plus fantasy points every week.
Should I Draft Dak Prescott?
If you drafted Prescott last season, you were likely disappointed in his fantasy output. He not only missed five games with a thumb injury, but he had a rough year altogether. The Cowboys quarterback threw a career-high 15 interceptions while finishing as the QB18 in fantasy.
Prescott only averaged 17.8 points per game with seven games under 18 fantasy points. It was a positive, though, that the veteran had five top-10 quarterback finishes in 12 weeks.

It was surely a down year for Prescott, and some of that blame could go to the Cowboys' lack of wide receiver talent. Michael Gallup was working his way back from an ACL injury, and Noah Brown was the team's WR2 for most of the season. With Brandin Cooks now in Dallas, Prescott should be in store for a better year.
Who Should I Draft?
Assuming you wait for a quarterback in fantasy this year, Tagovailoa or Prescott should be two quarterbacks you target in the middle rounds. If both signal callers stay healthy, they should finish higher than they did a season ago.
If I'm selecting a quarterback to lead my team, I like Prescott a little more than Tagovailoa here at the ADP. Even in a bad year, the Cowboys quarterback was more consistent every week and had more top-10 quarterback finishes. Now Dallas added Cooks, which should help the offense be even more dangerous. Prescott definitely has a safer floor, too.
