The most indispensable and irreplaceable part of the New Orleans Saints offense might be utilized a little differently this season.
Multi-skilled wonder Taysom Hill had arguably the best year of his seven-year career in 2023. He set personal bests with 114 touches and 692 combined yards (along with six TDs), which he racked up by running and receiving. He also added 83 passing yards and a touchdown toss. No one else in the NFL is as proficient at all three skills as Hill is, and he lined up everywhere from under center as a quarterback, in the slot as a receiver, to on the line of scrimmage as a tight end.
Hill’s role might change in 2024, however. New Orleans has a new offensive coordinator in Klint Kubiak, so his plans for Hill could be totally different from what they have been in previous seasons. So should fantasy football managers draft Hill in 2024?

Should I Draft Taysom Hill in 2024 Fantasy Football?
As long as Hill still qualifies as a tight end in your league, he should be on your fantasy radar. That is what makes him attractive and valuable. If Hill was just a running back, receiver, or quarterback his fantasy value would take a seismic hit as his numbers would be rather pedestrian compared to the other players at those positions.
Hill’s 692 combined yards and six scores ranked him anywhere between ninth and 12th among tight ends in fantasy football last year. He was more valuable than big names at the position such as Buffalo’s Dalton Kincaid, Philadelphia’s Dallas Goedert, and Atlanta’s Kyle Pitts. So if he is afforded the opportunity to touch the ball 100-120 times again this upcoming season, he could be a top-12 fantasy tight end for the second consecutive year. That would make him a low TE1 or a high TE2 for fantasy purposes.
Hill has lined up at multiple positions, including fullback, during New Orleans’ OTAs recently. So it sounds like Kubiak is not ignoring Hill’s versatility and special skill set. In fact, he is going to try him at a position (fullback) that he was rarely used at in the past, so that is exciting.

The wheels will eventually come off for Hill as he is 33 years old and takes a beating with his hard-charging running style. He did not seem to lose a step last year, however, and there is no reason to think he cannot be a decent fantasy tight end in 2024. If you are looking for a solid fantasy tight end who is known for having huge weeks interspersed between quiet weeks due to the Saints game plans or their amount of trips inside the red zone, Hill is definitely someone to draft – as long as he qualifies at TE in your league.
