When the Arizona Cardinals drafted wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. with the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, all fantasy managers believed Harrison was going to put up elite numbers right away. He was tabbed as a generational prospect and landed in one of the best situations.
However, Harrison had his ups and downs in his rookie season. He disappointed in fantasy and was a bust in some ways after being selected early in the second round of redraft formats.
But should fantasy managers buy or sell Harrison in dynasty leagues? Let's dive in and find out.

Marvin Harrison Jr.'s Rookie Season
Although Harrison was deemed a bust in fantasy this past year, there were plenty of positives to take away. For starters, he caught 62 passes for 885 yards and eight touchdowns. That season was almost identical to his father's first year in the league when he caught 64 passes for 836 yards and eight touchdowns in 1996.
While many people thought the rookie would put up better stats in Year 1, those numbers are solid for a 22-year-old rookie. The reason why everyone is down on Harrison following his rookie campaign is that he was hyped up so much in the offseason. However, the former Ohio State star showed his potential throughout the 2024-25 season.

He scored over 15 PPR fantasy points in eight of 17 games and saw at least eight targets in four of the final six contests. Yes, there were plenty of lows for Harrison in his first season. He scored under 10 PPR fantasy points in nine games and finished as the WR30 in PPR formats. But a Year 2 breakout could be in store.
Should I Buy or Sell Marvin Harrison Jr. in Dynasty?
Entering the 2024-25 season, Harrison was the most hyped-up prospect in dynasty leagues in recent memory. He totaled over 1,200 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns in each of his final two seasons at Ohio State and was drafted with a top-5 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. So, it was a bit of a surprise when he couldn't even top 1,000 receiving yards in his rookie campaign as the WR1 in Arizona's offense.

Nonetheless, fantasy managers in dynasty leagues should be buying Harrison ahead of his second season. The talent is surely there, and his rapport with Kyler Murray should only grow in Year 2. Selling him after just one season might not be the best strategic long-term plan for your team.
He's coming off a subpar rookie year, but he's turning just 23 years old in August. On top of that, Harrison was one of the better receivers in the NFL against man coverage this past season. His 42.8 percent win rate versus man coverage ranked second among all wideouts, and his 216 routes won ranked 12th. So, give him at least another year to turn things around because the talent is there.
