Of all the seasons the New York Giants have had in their history, 2024 is certainly... one of them.
Already eliminated from the playoffs, already rid of Daniel Jones, and in contention for the first overall pick, New York's lost season has seen some promising offensive rookies in receiver Malik Nabers, now-injured tight end Theo Johnson, and running back Tyrone Tracy Jr.
Tracy was given a chance when Devin Singletary suffered an injury and quite literally ran with it. The rookie has now played over half of the Giants' snaps in eight of the team's past nine games and ranks inside the top 30 for fantasy running backs. But is he really worthy of lineup consideration in the fantasy playoffs while attached to a bad offense? Let's look.

Should I Bench Tyrone Tracy Jr. for Fantasy Football?
In a vacuum, Tracy is worthy of a lineup spot, but the surrounding circumstances matter. The Giants are taking on the Baltimore Ravens, who rank eighth against fantasy running backs and will start quarterback Tommy DeVito, who began the season as their third-string option.
However, it's not as if the Giants were exactly anyone's idea of an offensive juggernaut this year, and Tracy still performed. The back has finished among the top 25 running backs four weeks in a row and has two top-10 finishes this season.

He's been especially valuable in PPR formats, as the Giants are frequently behind on the scoreboard, and he has led to 11 catches in just the past three weeks. Running backs who catch the ball can establish a solid floor without a big rushing day, and Tracy's ground-game outlook is not particularly strong this week.
Who Should I Pickup in Week 15 Fantasy Football?
This deep into the season, a waiver wire option rostered in under 50% of ESPN leagues like Browns receiver Cedric Tillman, Raiders running back Sincere McCormick, or Patriots receiver DeMario Douglas may be worth adding for depth.
But are any of those options really a better play than Tracy, who is the first rushing option and has drawn 17 targets in his past three games?

What Tracy has is an opportunity, and that's worth betting on in fantasy. He's played over 70% of snaps in four of the past five games, and he's involved in the passing game, making him a suitable flex option, even against a good Baltimore run defense.
