New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson has played well so far this season. The second-year running back is in a shared backfield with Damien Harris.
However, the former Oklahoma Sooner has earned more of a role this season compared to last year. After James White announced his retirement, Stevenson took on more of the pass-catching role.
Over the first three games this season, Stevenson has averaged 9.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Harris is averaging 11.4 half-points PPR fantasy points per game this year, by comparison.

What Did Rhamondre Stevenson Do In Week 3?
Stevenson had his best game of the year in Week 3. The second-year running back had 12 rushing attempts for 73 rushing yards, averaging 6.1 yards per attempt, and added four receptions for 28 yards. Stevenson had his first touchdown of the year and scored a season-high 18.1 half-point PPR fantasy points.
Meanwhile, Harris had a solid performance too. He scored 11.6 half-point PPR fantasy points and found the end zone too. However, he had fewer touches than Stevenson. Harris had 11 rushing attempts for 41 yards, averaging 3.7 yards per attempt. He added two receptions for five yards in the passing game.
Both running backs are valuable fantasy football players. Harris is currently the RB15 in half-point PPR scoring, while Stevenson is the RB30. However, is Stevenson about to take over the backfield?
Should I Add Rhamondre Stevenson After His Week 3 Performance?
The former Oklahoma star running back is rostered in 81.1% of ESPN leagues and 82% of Yahoo leagues. If he is available in your league, go pick him up immediately.
Not only did he outperform the veteran last week, but Stevenson earned more snaps than Harris. He had 41 snaps compared to 25 for Harris. Furthermore, Stevenson ran 26 routes while Harris ran 11. More importantly, the former Oklahoma star had 17 touches compared to 14 for former Alabama back.
Furthermore, Stevenson is an injury to Harris away from becoming a top-10 running back. Last year he averaged 15 rushing attempts for 68 rushing yards and 15 fantasy points per contest in the two games Harris missed.
Stevenson was a mid-round draft pick and one of my favorite running backs to draft this year. If he is on the waiver wire in your league, run, do not walk, and add him.
