Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is off to a hot start in his second year with the team, and he's beginning to appear on the fantasy radar. The former Los Angeles Rams No. 1 overall pick hasn't been a big name at the QB position in fantasy football, but his early-season production is tough to ignore.
With the emergence of Amon-Ra St. Brown and D'Andre Swift, this Lions offense looks strong and is currently second in the league at 35.5-points-per-game through two weeks.
Whether you play in traditional fantasy leagues or Superflex/two-QB leagues, Goff is at least worth monitoring moving forward.

What Did Jared Goff Do In Week 2?
In the win against the Washington Commanders, Goff completed 20-of-34 attempts for 256 yards and four touchdowns to zero interceptions. That output yielded 26.04 fantasy points and placed him as the QB8 for Week 2.

He's produced plenty of QB1 weeks throughout his career, so fantasy managers looking for the next breakout QB should clearly be looking at Goff
Should I Pick Jared Goff Off The Waiver Wire In Fantasy Football?
As of late, Goff is on top of his game and his No. 1 WR, St. Brown is putting up numbers that rival the elite wideouts in fantasy football. Goff's Lions are loaded with weapons, including St. Brown, Swift, T.J. Hockenson, and D.J. Chark. When Jameson Williams comes back, this offense could be even better. This isn't the "same ole" Lions' pedestrian offense. Of course, Goff's floor is low thanks to a lack of rushing upside, but in favorable matchups, he is a top streaming candidate moving forward.
However, he might even have weekly value. The Lions' defense still looks weak, so expect Goff to be near the top of the league in passing attempts. Efficiency is always nice, but even if Goff becomes inefficient, he can still produce big weeks thanks to clear volume. Since a matchup with Minnesota -- who was just shredded by Jalen Hurts -- is coming up, Goff is worth picking up and he's a strong starter in Week 3. If he busts, he can be dropped without much consequence. Those who rostered Trey Lance might be able to save their season with Goff.
