Pittsburgh Steelers running back Benny Snell Jr. has had a quiet 2022 season. The former Kentucky Wildcat didn’t have an offensive touch this season until Monday night against the Indianapolis Colts.
The fourth-year running back finally earned some work Monday night. Jaylen Warren missed the game with a hamstring injury, opening the door for Snell to see touches.
However, Najee Harris suffered an abdominal injury in the first half and didn’t play after halftime. Snell filled in during the second half, scoring a two-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Should I Add Benny Snell Jr. For Fantasy Football Week 13?
Snell had 12 rushing attempts for 62 yards and a touchdown last week. He also had one reception for six receiving yards in the game, scoring 13.3 half-point PPR fantasy points. While Harris suffered the injury, the star running back has a chance to play against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
More importantly, Warren told reporters that doctors have cleared him to play this week after he missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury.
If Harris can’t play this week, Warren will get the start for the Steelers. Snell has limited or no fantasy value moving forward, barring an injury.
What Running Back Should I Add For Week 13?
Fantasy players should pick up Zonovan Knight. The New York Jets running back is available in nearly 80% of ESPN leagues.
Last week the Jets made James Robinson a healthy game-day inactive. Instead, they signed Knight from the practice squad. He joined Michael Carter and Ty Johnson on the game-day roster last week against the Chicago Bears.
However, Carter left the game early with an ankle injury. Filling in for the starter, Knight had 14 rushing attempts for 69 yards. He also added three receptions for 34 receiving yards. Head coach Robert Saleh said Knight has earned a bigger role moving forward.
If Carter can’t play this week, the undrafted free agent could see the bulk of the team’s rushing workload. Furthermore, this week's matchup is appealing for whichever running back starts for New York.
The Minnesota Vikings have surrendered 21.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game to running backs this season, the 12th-most in the NFL. Furthermore, they have given up four rushing touchdowns to the position over the past three weeks.
