At this point, it's not really a surprise when Los Angeles Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani does something ridiculous on the baseball diamond, whether it be from in the batter's box or on the mound. But his recent stat line against the Chicago White Sox is absurd by even the Japanese superstar's lofty standards.
Many refer to Ohtani as the modern-day Babe Ruth, since he's inarguably the best two-way player to grace the major leagues since the New York Yankees legend.
The 28-year-old "Unicorn" often impacts games with either his bat or his arm. However, Ohtani's recent outing against the White Sox proved to be one of those perfect nights when he dominated in every facet of the game.

What Did Shohei Ohtani Do?
In the Angels' recent matchup with the Chicago White Sox, two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani demonstrated why many consider him the modern-day Babe Ruth by pulling off a historical feat.
Ohtani did damage both with his bat and with his arm against the Sox. The right-hander got the start on the mound for the Angels and dominated Chicago batters. Ohtani logged an eye-opening 10 strikeouts over 6.1 innings while relinquishing just one earned run.
While the pitching stats alone would be a career night for many big leaguers, Ohtani didn't stop there. The 28-year-old helped his own cause from the plate by launching two home runs and drawing a walk. Per OptaStats, Ohtani is the first MLB player to reach base 4+ times, hit 2+ home runs, and strike out 10+ batters all in the same game since Jack Stivetts did so for the St. Louis Browns against the Toledo Maumees on June 10, 1890.
