ANALYSIS: Oakland Athletics catcher Shea Langeliers has been one of the best power hitters at his position and is worth adding in all leagues.
On the season, the 26-year-old has a .215/.269/.512 line with an eye-catching nine long balls and 24 RBI. He holds an 8:30 BB:K ratio. After hitting 22 home runs last season, the backstop is on pace to smash that total this year.

Langeliers’ underlying metrics support his power breakout and suggest he could be in for a big summer. He currently sits with an 18.3% barrel rate and 47.3% hard-hit rate, which places him in the top 97th percentile and 79th percentile, respectively. In addition, he sports an excellent .578 xSLG, which puts him in the top 96th percentile of all qualified hitters.
If you are looking for a replacement catcher or simply a power bat to put in your utility spot, Langeliers is a perfect fit. His metrics suggest he is hitting the ball extremely hard and should continue to put up dominant power numbers all summer.
