New York Giants running back Shane Vereen may be a nice RB2 in Week 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles. The PPR machine will reportedly have an increased role in the passing game with Odell Beckham and Rueben Randle dealing with a hamstring injuries.
In Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers, Vereen caught eight passes for 86 yards and it's clear that he is Eli Manning's second favorite target in the passing game behind Beckham. If Beckham is unable to go against the Eagles, you should definitely consider starting Vereen in PPR leagues.
Vereen's role will likely decrease once Victor Cruz is able to return, but until them he is an excellent flex play even with Beckham at full health. He is a way better fantasy option than the Giants starting running back Rashad Jennings.
