BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-plus team PPR leagues
OWNED IN: 14% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Somehow, someway, the Giants lost four receivers to injury in Week 5, and two of them -- Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) and Brandon Marshall (ankle) -- need season-ending surgeries. With Sterling Shepard (ankle) also banged up and questionable for Week 6 against Denver, Roger Lewis may be their No. 1 wideout.
For that reason alone, Vereen, the team's main pass-catching back, will see his workload increase significantly. He hasn't done much on the ground this year (17 carries, 65 yards), but he caught nine passes in the season opener and four for 27 yards against the Chargers.
New York's backfield is a headache between rookie Wayne Gallman, Orleans Darkwa and Paul Perkins, but Vereen is head and shoulders the best pass catcher, so his role should be safe in an offense that is now desperate for receivers behind Lewis and tight end Evan Engram. Vereen is a sleeper PPR steal off the waiver wire.
