ANALYSIS: Shane Greene hasn't recorded a save since August 28 and has allowed runs in two of his last three appearances. Still, he's the unquestioned closer for the Tigers and has performed well since assuming the role. Greene has converted all six of his save opportunities, with solid ratios (2.45 ERA, 1.16 WHIP) and a 9.8 K/9. Detroit's status as an also-ran doesn't preclude Greene from being a viable fantasy closer for the remainder of the season, and he's free to add in about half of Yahoo leagues. If you're in need of a few extra saves down the stretch, it's hard to do much better on the waiver wire than Greene.
