ANALYSIS: While Jose Peraza, the big-name acquisition from the Todd Frazier deal, has turned quite a few heads lately, lesser known prospect Scott Schebler has been wrecking his way into the spotlight. First off, he was tearing it up at Triple-A Louisville. In just 319 PA he had two SB, 13 HR, 39 XBH, and a .934 OPS. Though he has produced well at home with an .855 OPS all season, Schebler had struggled heavily until recently. In 161 AB this season he has seven HR, 16 XBH, and a slash line of .230/.291/.422. In his last 40 AB he has shredded opposing pitchers for four HR, six XBH, and a slash line of .375/.405/.725. He has also struck out just 11.9% of his PA, as opposed to his 24% rate for the season as a whole. Schebler is a power-hitting outfielder who still has a high ceiling at 25 years old and has shown a sneaky ability to steal bases in the past. Ride the hot hand in the GABP outfield.
