ANALYSIS: Who the primary saves option is in Kansas City has been a point of contention for most of the year, but Scott Barlow appears to have taken command of the ninth inning. The 28-year-old has locked down each of the team's last four save chances, giving him eight saves (along with three victories) since the start of July. He's always racked up strikeouts, but has been able to limit walks and home runs more effectively than in the past.
Overall, Barlow is 5-3 with 10 saves. He has a 2.52 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and 78 strikeouts in 64 innings of work. He should be rostered in all formats.
