ANALYSIS: The veteran posted a shockingly-good fantasy outing against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11, logging 82 total yards and three TDs in the Bengals' 37-30 victory.
Perine's outlier performance was made possible due to Joe Mixon's early exit from the game with a head injury that was later deemed a concussion.
With Mixon now in the NFL concussion protocol and listed as questionable for Cincy's Week 12 tussle against the Tennessee Titans, Perine vaults into immediate waiver wire consideration.
The career backup logged just 2.7 yards per carry against the Steelers in relief of Mixon, but the 27-year-old has proven himself to be a serviceable pass catcher and utility back throughout his NFL career.
Fantasy GMs will need to monitor Mixon's status as the week progresses, but if he sits, Perine would inherit his elite workload and become an instant RB2 starter in all fantasy leagues against Tennessee in Week 12.
